New and Returning TV shows for 2021

With the new year days away, many people are anticipating what awaits. Even though one can’t predict life events, one can begin to anticipate the coming TV shows of next year. Here are a few new and returning shows that await us in 2021.


Returning:

American Gods (Starz) - Starring Ricky Whittle and Emily Browning. Season 3 of the show begins on January 10, 2021. The show follows a man (Whittle) who suffers a tragedy and falls upon a world within his own that’s filled with magic and danger. The episodes will be released weekly post-premiere.




Riverdale (CW) - Starring Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, and Camila Mendes. This CW show will premiere its fifth season on January 20, 2021. The show is a teen drama that follows the character Archie Andrews (Apa) which is based on the Archie comic books. The episodes will be released weekly post-premiere.



Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix) - Starring Kiernan Shipka and Ross Lynch. The Netflix original will premiere its fourth and final season just before 2021 hits on December 31st. The show is about Sabrina Spellman, (Shipka) a half-mortal half-witch teenage girl as she struggles with her nature as a witch along with her family and witch and human friends. The entire season will be available upon release.



Legacies (CW) - Starring Danielle Rose Russell and Kaylee Bryant. The CW shows will premiere the third season of Legacies on January 21st, 2021. The show is a spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” and focuses on the students of The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.



A Discovery of Witches (Sky) - Starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer. The show is based on the novel which follows Diana Bishop (Palmer) who comes across an enchanted manuscript that is highly sought for in the magical community. The second season will premiere on January 2nd, 2021. The episodes will be released weekly post-premiere.



New:

Wanda Vision (Disney+) - Starring Elizabeth Owens and Paul Bettany. This show will follow the characters Wanda (Owens) and Vision (Bettany) as they try to live a suburban life together. The show will premiere on Disney+ on January 15th, 2021.




Superman and Lois (CW) - Starring Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch. This show is a spinoff from the “Supergirl” series and follows Clark Kent (Hoechlin) and Lois (Tulloch) as they manage to be working parents. The show will premiere on February 23rd, 2021 on the CW. The episodes will be released weekly post-premiere.


American Horror Stories (Hulu) - This is a spinoff of “American Horror Story”. Each episode is supposed to be an individual story. It is unknown when it will premiere.






Gossip Girl (HBO Max) - This is a reboot of the original “Gossip Girl”. The show will follow a new generation and should be released in 2021 with 10 hour-long episodes.
